I personally believe it's important to give back to my community. I am involved in my church with missions and service projects and seasonally community service like Operation Christmas Child, Helping Hands, and Good News at Noon. I also am an alumnus of Honors Humanities Acadamy which is global service driven. We partner with Keep America Beautiful and created our own start-up nonprofit, seeking outreach to our local migrant students called Unwrap Humanity. I also contribute to a blog called Self Love Club, promoting body activism and am involved in some of the service projects initiated, in the flower project. I have been involved off and on in the young democrats club in Gainesville and have participated in some of their activism outreach, most recently a march. Through the Honors Work-Based Learning program I have volunteered with Next Chapter Bookstore- a company who houses and provides jobs for adults with special needs. Also, I've worked with Backpack Love for one the cohorts projects. I organized a food drive and we went to their facility and organize the food pantry.
